Progress on the first 182 Cessna is steadily moving forward.
During the past six weeks many of the parts that were ordered have now arrived.
Dave and Reed are working on installing the new aluminum skins on the flaps,
rudder and horizontal stabilizer. We have completed the installation of the
rudder peddles and all the new rigging cables and pulleys. The nose and main
landing gear that was disassembled, rebuilt and painted is now reinstalled.
Hand sanding and polishing still remains the biggest task. On Saturday April 30th
cheers and shouts of joy were heard through out the shop. Debbie and Kayla were
there with the camera to record the event, the rolling over of a wing, meaning
that after many man hours of hand sanding and just as many man hours of
polishing one side of the wing had been completed. The moment was short lived
as we all looked upon the unfinished side.
