As progress continues on the restoration of the first 1956 Cessna 182 we have had a few nice surprises.

We received an e-mail from Dan Steffl and from Theresa Steffl Andersen.  Their father, Don Steffl, was the 2nd owner of this Cessna.  They live in Ulm, Minnesota and Don flew the plane a lot with family members.  The plane was sold after his death to Ed Croymans whom we purchased it from.  Both Dan and Theresa said they were so happy that someone was restoring the plane to its original state.  They both have many happy memories in connection with the plane and all the rides they went on with their dad.  Theresa’s note was sent to us on Fathers day as she recalls having breakfast and going for plane rides on Father’s day.  Knowing that they have been following the progress of the plane has given us a connection and made us feel very good about what we are doing.  It has been a long ongoing project and at times we sit and look at all the plane parts sitting in a shop and  wonder just what the heck we were thinking……..   But most of the time we know that we are doing the right thing and hearing from Dan and Theresa has given us encouragement.  Thanks Dan and Theresa.
